Unwanted Pregnancy

Video Performance

Living under the Myanmar military regime for three generations means inheriting the weight of fear, loss, and control — a body history marked by unwanted continuities. The performance reflects on the generational trauma of women whose bodies have carried more than life: repression, silence, and resistance.

This work is dedicated to my friend Bubu, a contemporary dancer, and to the countless women who fell during Myanmar’s Spring Revolution. Their movements, once expressions of freedom, now echo through absence.

Through performance, I seek to remember them — to give shape to the endurance, pain, and beauty that survive even in the shadow of violence.
