Artist Statement

I explore how consciousness transforms through memory, ritual, and embodied action. Across performance, installation, photography, poetry, sound and research, I investigate how intimate gestures and collective rituals become vessels for reflection, healing, and shared understanding, revealing the social and political realities that shape our lives.

In Unknown Women, I illuminate the unseen stories of women, blending symbolic gestures, cultural references, and political commentary to give voice to the invisible. Endeavored Composure confronts global inequities through immersive installations, using coffins to explore wealth gaps, social hierarchies, and the human cost of systemic disparity. World of Good-for-Nothing Guys addresses intergenerational trauma and societal labeling, creating collaborative spaces to examine cycles of neglect and cultivate collective healing.

Rooted in activism and feminist thought, my practice merges the personal with the political. From organizing Myanmar’s first large-scale public demonstration since 1988 to supporting displaced youth and women’s political campaigns, my work bridges art and advocacy. Through all my projects, I seek to make the unseen visible, spark reflection on structural injustice, and create spaces for resilience, dialogue, and shared understanding.
